Fluidized Positioner

Fluidized positioners are used to reduce pressure injuries in OR or ICU and improve patient care over a larger area. The positioners can be shaped according to different patients and positions which are not affected by memory and will hold the shape until they are remolded.

Description

Features 
1. Large contact area to support the body and distribute pressure, especially for patients with bony prominences.
2. Easy to mold and provide any shape for individual patient.
3. Will not shift and lose its shape until the patient is re-positioned.
4. Available for different sizes of adults and pediatrics.

For Supine Position
1. Choose the suitable size for the patient head.
2. Flat the positioner and place it under the head and keep it in line with top of the shoulders.
3. Mold the positioner from the two sides to the top of the head; mould the positioner around the head to the suitable height and then fix it to make sure the patient head is in comfortable position.
4.Use the thumb to push down the positioner around the ear to protect the skin.

For Lateral Position
1. Mould the positioner for head first.
2. Choose the suitable size for the patient shoulder and back.
3. Flat the positoner and place it next to one side of the patient body.
4. Mold the positioner by hand from the outside to inward until the shape matches the back of the patient and in a comfortable position.
5. The best is to allow the patient move backwards slowly after the positioner is molded.

Cleaning and Disinfection
1. Strong corrosive disinfectants should be avoided;
2. Do not use the disinfectants including bleach;
3. The use of iodine cleaning agent may discolor the pad, but will not influence the safety and effectiveness of the device.
4. Extended use of alcohol-based disinfectants may reduce the life of the product;
5.  Avoid high temperature and high pressure disinfection or fumigating;
6. Gas sterilization, autoclaving, washing machine, dryer or pro-longed soaking in disinfectants are NOT recommended;
7. Do not sterilize the positioner with ultraviolet radiation.

Precautions
1. Please handle with care;
2. Avoid direct contact with hard or sharp objects;
3. Avoid cleaning the positioner surface with strong corrosive disinfectants or cleaning agents.
4. Keep the positioner flat in storage, avoid direct sunlight and dust;
5. Keep the positioner away from ultraviolet lights;
